Contact Share (SMS Ready) can provide vCard data for SMS.
vCard is used for sending any of your contacts to other by email and SMS.
SMS vCard is the most popular form of contact sharing as it is the most practical and least expensive way to transmit contact detail to any mobile. Versitcard (vCard), produced by Internet Mail Consortium is the standard used by Apple and other IT companies.
vCard is compatible with most mobile phones as well as application in the market but not currently with the iPhone.
Currently, iPhone is not able to send vCard via SMS and they do not allow software developers to produce an application that is able to send vCard directly from the Messages application!
How you can use Contact Share (SMS Ready).
Simple application, works as follows:
1- Choose a contact from the Contact Share (SMS Ready).
2- Press Messages.
3- Paste the vCard and send it to anyone you like.

Contact Share has two ways of generated data for SMS.

• Contact Share Card
It is the most convenient way to generate contact data for iPhone and other mobile devices, which do not support vCard via SMS. In addition, because some vCards are larger than one SMS (140 characters) and even the receiver mobile phone may receive corrupted SMS, Contact Share offers a useful and a most functional method of sharing.
vCard Version 2.1 and Contact Share Card both have option to enable or disable. The options are as following:

its Perfect For iPhone Keep it Update with new futures
I think this app is largely obsolete with the iPhones evolution and this may be the reason a version updated for iOS4 has not appeared. It works fine for what it does, although one of my two contact entries caused the app to crash while the other worked perfectly. With the ease of basic contact information transmission and receipt with the iPhone, Im not sure this app offers much in addition, and for $0.99.
Seems to work as advertised, however the vCard function isnt working well. Also it isnt able to include a full contact info in a vCard. The other formatting option isnt international friendly, as it puts English labels. I got this hoping that I could SMS someone my contact data, in a simple fashion.
Very bad program useless
The app is not functional at all. There should have been option for trying it before purchase. Please refund. I added one star for submission.
